No, only the disc needs removing to access the 3 bolts. These will be rusty though, so good grips are a must, and the bolts are M6 X10mm, which need replacing.

Again the Fred is more about if ifs dodgy but not there it can’t fail.
Most new cars don't even have a spare as standard, some don't even have space for a spare, like our EV.
So without a spare it’s a pass.

You're assuming a UK MOT Makes sense! It does not (If it causes a safety issue it will likely fail an MOT, safety is Braking, Steering, Controlling and Airbags / Seatbelts)
