parts arrive tomorrow to fix Vacume pump leak, and now have lost brake pressure today, so another leak. Brake pedal going to floor and serious fluid leak from near side front. I think it's the Pressure Reducing Valve, doesn't seem to be from brake lines.
is the PRV something that tends to fail?
I have attached photos.
Thanks in advance.

"is the PRV something that tends to fail?" No, but like any moving part, can fail.

What I was really asking was, based on the photos showing the wet bits, do you recon it's the PRV that I need to order, I suppose it is, as the brake pipes seem fine. Thanks Discool.

The pipe unions do look fine, so if that is brake fluid we see and it's coming from the spring and diaphragm housing on the end as a result of the diaphragm being worn, so the PRV requires replacing.

Thanks for your opinion Discool, I will order one now, that's two brake related jobs to do on the weekend then, gasket for vac pump arrives tomorrow.
