Aah then so it must be the ABS plumbing.

I'll be double careful to connect them back up the right way round then.:)
Don't think abs matters in the scheme of things ,still use the same pipes and fluid as non abs good idea to take pictures before disassembly to make sure they go back right and maybe put a tag on them in case they get moved about?

I’m in a similar position to the original poster here. My rear brake pipe needs replacing too. I have been told by my local mechanic that it could involve having to remove the body. Wtf?? Should I go elsewhere or is he actually telling me the truth? Do some Discovery’s need their bodies removing to replace the rear brake pipes? I can’t believe this is right. If it is, anyone want to by on 03 plate disco?
Sound like he's taking the ****,I'd go elsewhere if you can't tackle it yourself

Don't think he cares tbh, he sold his disco ages ago then sold me all his spare oil, about three years ago:p:)

Body off to do brake pipes? Not in a month of Sundays. Go elsewhere.

03=D2

No way in hell you'd need to pull the body, he either dunt know what he's doing or just taking the pizz cuz he dunt want the work?

Easy job, but do not do it unless you are 100% about flaring & bending pipe!

I did the front caliper pipes this year and took longer to drink my tea than flare the pipes.

Well worth getting a decent tool, not a cheap 12.99 one. Mines similar to this but not facom
