Ok just a quick update, I changed the discs and pads today and although better I can still feel the pulsing through the pedal very frustrating!!!!

Could be the Electronic Brake Distribution valve?
From Rave:
Operation of EBD is detectable from a stiffening of brake pedal movement as the inlet solenoid valves close and a
slight pulsing of the brake pedal as the inlet solenoid valves open. EBD operation ceases immediately the brake pedal
is released.

Had a very bad pulsing and just on hard braking a judder in the steering wheel when the wheel bearings were shot. But the problem was just there when you stepped on the breakers. When the pads managed to steer the wheel bearings in the right position the breaking was great.

I had a similar thing, thought it was the ABS module but I changed the wiring loom in the rear near side hub and it cured it. Cost £80 for the loom
