True, have to get my box of shim's out.Long time since i did any castor camber settings. Bit of a lost art on a lot of modern motors.
Changing pads - no, Changing the entire disc - yes, because the caliper assembly on a P38 is nothing like the ones I am used to on Saabs.Sorry, but anyone who needs a guide to change brake pads should not be doing the job IMHO.
Front and rear discs are different sizes.Changing pads - no, Changing the entire disc - yes, because the caliper assembly on a P38 is nothing like the ones I am used to on Saabs.
And even less like the drum brakes on a Series or a UAZ. At least on the P38 I can safely assume the discs are all the same size. Unlike the drums on a UAZ.
I find an impact driver works on the screw and a large cracker bar on the caliper carrier bolts. The screw holding the rotor in place will probably need banging round with a hole punch then replacing. Might need some heat to get the caliper bolts out. In the technical section there is a How To on changing the CV boot and I think it mentions taking the caliper off too.

Int it good havin proper tools? They do make life so much easier. Think half the problems people have on here are caused by shit tools.
