Brake lights working, but with headlights on no brake lights!.....well, brake-lights/rear-lights are on but no further illumination from the rear when braking!

Is this normal? has only single filament bulbs been stuck in? or ???

truck 30 miles away at mo so can't just stick head out door and investigate!

any thoughts?

Series 3 1973

cheers

Brake lights should be brighter than rear lights - if there's no difference in brightness then it could be single filament bulbs fitted (although these have offset pins to stop this happening) or the rear and brake light wiring could be shorted together. Has this recently happened or could this be the result of someone bodging?

its not the bulbs, just got her back home and all good

brake lights working just not when head lights are on!

will look further in the day light!

Have yr problem resolved? If yes, how?
