Hi all
trying to figure out why my brake lights are permently on.
I figure the stop switch is either stuck or broken but I can't find it!
Where I think it should be...on the bracket in front of the pedal...there is just an empty fixing hole.
The picture in the haynes manual ia a little confusing any help would be most appreciated...thanks

not sure on the D2 but on the D1 the bottom hole is for the cruise control brake switch, and just above that is the brake light switch

thanks for that.
Have located and removed switch and lubricated it but it has made no difference.
Switch is working but when in postion brake pedal is not pushing it back enough to break contact.
So either brake pedal has dropped a fraction or switch is not dropping enough must say that there is a little play in switch which might be the reason its just not dropping enough.

well it was the switch...for future ref for anyone with the same problem the plunger needs to be over an inch in length not a quarter inch like mine was even though it still worked when depressed...cheap repair £8...happy days

is the switch not adjustable like it is on the D1? on mine if its pushed too far back i can pull the plunger to lengthen it
