I have a 1990 Ninety [ was 19j but now 200tdi.] Had this truck over thirty years, hard worked but looked after.
I was swapping out swivel housing big seal the other day and noticed the ferrule on the flexi was pretty much corroded clean through to the point of being able to bend it a bit by hand.
Ordered new pair Nrc 7874 but this does not fit as it has metric thread. Checking, this is the only part number for all 90" landys up to 1998 I can find. After trying various fittings from my box of assorted I find the fittings on my Ninety are the same as Series, imperial ?
I have had this truck over thirty years and can say for sure all its hard brake pipes on the chassis are the original ones, only the rear axle ones have been replaced some ten years ago when it was off for new brackets to be welded.
Got going for now by fitting a Series one, a tad short but ok as long as don't cross axle on full left lock.
Anyone got ideas as to how this could be?

Neither my local parts chap or JGS seem able to find the right hose.
The original 19j calipers were replaced with the larger ones from an early 200tdi Defender I broke up for the engine some fifteen years ago. [ rotted out launching boats it was]
Mine is late 19j and VIN pre dates the number above Paddock link you gave does have hose that should fit. Thanks @Gatherrover, a big help. :)
 
In the words of Victor Meldrew, "I DONT BELEVE IT" Four different suppliers have now been tried to get a brake hose for my truck! All have been wrong thread even though suppliers insist it is the right one for mine even though I tell them the thread on my Ninety is the same as series.
Is there such a thing as extended brake hose for series to be had ?
Recon some time in late 1989 early 1990 they ran out of brake fittings in the factory, Never mind some one said, just use up them imperial ones left over from before.

Are the rear axle one longer? But the ends(shape) may be different.

Other option remake pipe to suit newer style,
Or Get some braided extended style

Series does not have front disk brakes so that should not be a reason?!?
But what part does not fit? Is it possible that the break pipe from the caliper to the hose is ā€œhandmadeā€?

Part 8 and 9?
 
It is the actual hose that does not fit, wrong thread , rear hose is shorter.
Yes I could just change the fittings but to make any sense would have to change the lot and that might as well be the pipes as well, a fair old job that is just not needed.

I know series do not have discs [ drove/fixed them plenty] But at this time it is a series hose from my store of old parts that keeps me going as noted in first post.

Some of the braided use banjo bolts on the end for the caliper
 
First three have gone back. It was Paddock's who said one of the returns would fit, it did not.
