Going to buy new front disc's this morning and have a choice of Mintex or Delphi Lockheed brands for only a few pennies difference. So was wondering if you lot had any preference between these two brands?
I have fitted aftermarket disc/pads set on several of my Disco's and I don't think there is a lot in the two marques you suggest.
However, if you are about to change your front discs, may I suggest that you considor an upgrade to improve your braking performance.
Good luck
Dave
The standard Disco brakes are so capable of dealing with anything one might do, that spending twice the cash on trendy grooved and / or ventilated discs would be a total waste of money.
These are not sports cars - they are over two-ton four-by-fours, and should be driven accordingly.
If EVER you get to the stage of over-heating the standard Disco brakes, then you are driving far too fast, braking far too hard and too often, and if towing you are PUSHING YOUR LUCK!
Keep calm, look ahead, and lay off the brake pedal, because all it does is slow you down.

Didn't this subject get done to death a few months back?
Despite the 200tdi having vented discs they were lacking but ONLY when used in competitions and pushed real hard in a hot climate. If you are driving normally I would be happy with the stock system, JMHO.
