Hi guys

Will brake cleaner clean off gear oil on nearly new brake pads, the reason i ask is one of my rear hub seals that i changed only in late october last year is leaking onto the disc i have just bought genuine seals which i am going to change this weekend but the pads are mintex ones, what do you think.

if not i will just have to buy some BP ones for now

Solvent brake cleaner will if it hasn't been months.
Otherwise £12 buy new

i'd bin the pads, oil will have soaked in to them, so wouldn't really be possible to remove it all!

Ideally you'll want new pads, no 100% way of getting the oil out effectively. Only when you've sorted the oil leak of course!

Surely good pads are not that much? Why resort of S**tpart parts?

Its ok just bought some mintex ones from paddocks just hope they will be here in time
