as in the thread title can any one let me know the torx socket size for the brake caliper bolt , have tried an E18 but getting no where belted it on but it just slips back off under a wee bit preasure.

its not a torx bolt. you need a multi-splined 13mm socket over the standard faced socket.

This type, the 12point socket:

Draper Draper 13MM 12PT SOCKET 1/2DR BULK

not this 6 point standard type:

Draper Draper 6MM 6 POINT SOCKET 1/4DR-BULK

They used to be called Bi-Hex sockets an was all you got once upon a time.

cheers grunt, i couldnt think of, or find, the correct name for them i just knew a standard 6 point/faced wouldnt work!

thats me prowd owner of a 13mm 12 point 1/2" drive socket. fits tight as and was no bother to get the bolts oot. cheers again.
