Hi,
So I've got two issues. The first one is something I've posted before but wasn't able to find a solution.
Brakes: Basically the fronts seem to be sticking on intermittently. Every now and then, I get the feeling something is resisting, pull over (discs are hot), loosen the bleed nipple, a little fluid squirts out, pressure is released and it moves freely. Sometimes if I just wait a few minutes, the pressure seems to release automatically. It is almost like there is something that is acting as a slow return valve. Happens on both sides simultaneously but not the rears. All new brake pipes, flexis are new, front calipers had new pistons and seals etc. Biasing valve, servo or master cylinder has not been replaced.
Does anyone have any ideas??
Steering: So when I am moving the landy out of parking spaces or turning around, I get a squeal and the steering is all juddery. I have tightened the belt, I have loosened the belt, I have had a new belt and it still happens. It is fine when i am driving.
My next port of call is going to be to re bleed and make sure it is at the correct tightness. Does anyone else have any suggestions as to what it could be?
I was kind of thinking maybe the actual power steering box is dying however I am pretty sure its a belt squeal. Also, just to make sure I get it to the right tension, what would you fellas suggest is the right amount of slack so to speak, i.e half inch of movement, inch etc??
Thanks,
Jasper
