Just about finished my series 2a station wagon 12 seater resto, and took it out for a short trial run the other day and found the front end is bouncing up and down, so checked the new ****part shocks, and found them to have no resistance at all, so they went in the bin, got some monroe shocks and its still bouncing, so havn't checked if the monroe shocks are shot, but was thinking would parabolics be ok on the front only,

OEM are armstrong, if you go on ebay and type the part number of your shocks you bought, but add armstrong, you will find them

p.s this is a long shot, but have you also fitted new springs recently ? (standard or otherwise) because its very likely when your truck is on the ground that the shocks are fully extended, i.e no droop travel, and this will be your issue.

Its petrol now was diesel, and i think they are the origanal springs, its so bouncy its allmost undriveable

I'll swap you my tired 9 leaf petrol springs for your bouncy 11 leaf diesels :D I've now got said frigging great winch on the front.
