Think I know the answer after doing some reading and research.
One of the jobs i was going to do later this year was drop my sunroof and seal up the leaking sunroofs. The previous owner had siliconed up.

Today both keyfobs are working but not opening the car. I would presume that condensation or water is mucking up the reciever? Every time i get in the car and shut the door i get a shower of water droplets.
Fortunately have the eka code and so will be able to use.

Just double checking that condensation/water in the reciever is the prime first suspect.

If both keys are not working then I'd say Yes. You can get to the receiver without taking the head liner out. Remove the rear sunroof liner surround/interior light and you should be able to drop it enough to get at it. It's plug & play to replace. Might get you going until you get full time to do the job.

Thank you. Its a job for tomorrow. Hopefully remove and put in the airing cupboard for a bit and see if i can dry it out a bit.
Thanks

Absolutely, just had the same and replaced my RF receiver and then did the headlining whilst it was out.
You're right, get all the jobs done at the same time.
When you put new RF receiver in also put a shield over it to keep that dripping moisture off it.

well, receiver has been removed and gone on holiday to the airing cupboard sitting on top the tank.

You can see the condensation. I disconnected the wiring.

As you can see the earthing point was very damp and mucky. Not helping.

Cover removed. Not damp on the inside but a bit of evidence there was some in the past. Any way overnight on the hot water tank and hopefully try tomorrow.
Suspect earth is main cause.

Headliner will need doing as do the sunroofs. The switch panel for the headlining had been fixed to the roof at the front of the rear sunroof with 2 wood screws and the interior light was disconnected. so someone definitely in there before. The headlining fibreglass a bit cracked and damaged in this area and the sunroofs being siliconed up by a ' Specialist' it will need to be dropped to sort but did not want to do in Feb. Hopefully the receiver will work or if not I will replace.
Will update tomorrow.

No luck this morning. Dried out the receiver and better connections. So new one ordered a few minures ago.
Hope that sorts it as my EKA code involves 34 key turns. And a wait in the rain.

Ordered a YWY000080 to replace mine as reading on here indicates that this is the current replacement.
Update in a couple of days.

Find a friend with a nanocom and get the EKA code changed, makes life easier, just make sure to write it down.

Cheers

Arrived today in a genuine Land Rover box from Maltings. Dont think ive ever had a genuine land rover box before. Normally too stingy.

Works perfectly even from 20 ft away.
Brilliant.

Quick another question. Does the heated rear window cable run in the roof as well.
Got the useful info off here and have printed the wiring diagrams and pictures of A post coonectors. Just double checking because if the wires is in the roof as well that pretty well makes my next decision.
