I have just changed the rear seal on my fuel pump and now it wont start. Fuel is going to the pump but not the injectors. What have I broken / done wrong ?

Did you take the pump off of the engine to do it or was it done in-situ? Did it all seem to go as planned or did you have any issues getting the distributor head off/on? Like dannys says it could be an airlock as the pump would have drained out. Have you tried disconnecting the pipes at the injectors and given it a good crank?

Yes I tried that and no fuel coming up..

Have you got the DTI adaptor that goes in the central bolt hole? That will tell you if the pump plunger is turning when you turn the engine over. If it doesn't then you have either lost drive to the pump (hence the removed / insitu question) or something has come adrift inside it and you need to open it up again.

No but I ordered the 12 piece timing kit which I believe has 1 as going to remove the pump next.. yes I am thinking some thing has come adrift when I did it as no other explination I can think of

I didnt think I took it back to far... will have to take it right off now and check

If you removed the injector head completely without securing the internal pin then I suspect your pump is now scrap. I have a how guide on these for resealing.
