Hi all, I have an old military 110, and am wondering if I could fit a different fuel pump such as bosch as I'm told the original lucas one can't handle veg oil mixes, do i need special mounts is it a lift pump or the injector pump that fails ?

Or do i have to use 10% unleaded or something in the veg oil?

Wasn't aware Bosch diesel pumps couldn't use part mix of vegetable oil. Might be worth having a chat with Diesel Bob and taking his advice/recommendations http://dieselbob.co.uk/vegetable.aspx

eta - Of course, there's no reason to use veggie oils except for cost saving...but the dreaded hygroscopic veggie oil + bacterial growth from hygroscopic runs high risk of a complete strip down. Never been fully convinced on veggie oil unless used in a carefully controlled fashion.

Sorry, badly worded, original pump is lucas and i've been told they fail on veg oil, will edit thank you

Ah, the old Lucas jobbie - everything I've read shows they don't like non-fossil fuel oils. Have you tried posting this in the Military section to see if some others have changed fuel pump, ideally to a Bosch VE?
