Never occurred to me to put the stove longitudinally rather than transverse. Brilliant! And just before I start out finishing my90.

If you had a Freelander it would never occur to you to put it any other way !!, if you park up correctly the door acts as a windbreak as well ;)

Looks great. Where does the gas bottle go?
I have wondered about carrying a camping stove but am worried about the gas bottles in a hot car. Being optimistic about good weather :)
What do you do when it rains? sorry so many questions! ;)

I know a woman who does antiques fairs and she kept gas cooker in her car trouble was it windy and she got called back to her stall as somebody wanted to buy something , her boot door blew shut and knocked the little gas stove over and that was it for the car ,so make sure that yours can not get knocked over , and her insurance would not pay out as they asked why was she cooking in her car ,and the woman also admitted at night she slept in the car to save hotel bills .

Ouch! Thanks for warning
If I didn't love my freelander so much i'd buy a camper van. I've fitted shelves in the back and am wondering about extending the back somehow when parked up. Maybe a canopy or fast erecting awning

They do specific tents that come from the rear ooer, for the carpet tho on drawers and such ikea drawer liners work a treat I've used them for all sorts it's a bit like sound deadening material...

This is what I need.....I won't be worried about driving more than 50 miles from home:D

There is a company that makes them I found them when I was looking to make one for my freebie van but no one made them for the commercial oddly the one that's gonna get most use from it..

Another question I've seen a picture of a tow bar carrier somewhere, have you come across any?

Dya mean for luggage? My pops got one for mobility scooter that attaches to tow ball fixings and just folds up when not in use/or is easily detachable when not needed at all, cost about £550 from a guy in oldham think he's on Google if you search mobility scooter carriers I bet seas can knock one up cheaper..

Just had a quick look for and I cant find him on Google my dad's is about 4yrs old now so maybe he's not there anymore next time I'm at my dad's I'll take some good pics I'm sure it will be a cheap build for someone like sess88 who's geared up to do it, besides it would prob need a small rethink to get over the spare wheel when folded up..
