hey guys still not got mine back frm the engine rebuild but know ive got a water ingress into the boot.

any ideas?

Yes, loads. Try searching for "cubby" or "water ingress" or "water in boot" and you will find all the answers you need.

try removing the rubber seal all the way round, then refitting it. never goes back exactly the same, and seems to reseal. worked ok for me.

and drill a small hole in the bottom of the cubby to let it drain !!!

Fixed my leak and the carpet is out the car drying ....... slowly !!!

and take the trim off above the door opening, some ****ty fitting in there rusts away and lets the water in. Reseal and re-fit.

Seriously, try and find the source, mine was easy, wet roof lining above the rear door. Water dripping onto boot floor and filling the water tank...........er boot cubby

Solved the issue in mine by dyno matting the whole boot. It's been 10 months now and it's still bone dry.
