I would like to lubricate the bonnet release cable. Any ideas on access to this would be appreciated.

on the bonnet/hood latch bit of the cable ..
i use a spray can of motorcycle-chain grease on it .. to lubricate and ward off rust ..
'n aim the spray 'tube' via a small mirror from inside the engine bay ..

evidently .. that bit rusting up be the main cause of the cable breaking ..
blooming rust spots and broken cable strands get caught in the outer sleeve ..
person yanks in-cab bonnet/hood release lever .. cable snaps ..

you have to remove the plastic cover under the slam panel to acess the bit of cable that rusts, this is riveted so not easy to achieve without damage, if the release is at all stiff replace cable before it breaks, tis only £10-15.
