Hey All!

My bonnet has totally rusted away where the arrow is pointing so i have no way of keeping my bonnet locked as the pulley is now useless!

Anyone have any ideas of a way i could secure my bonnet down but still access it when need be?

Thanks in advance!

Do what most guys do with ex-mil Defenders, just get a padlock and clasp as seen on garden sheds up and down the nation.

Thanks for the replies.

I already have fitted two rubber bonnet pins just wanted something more secure so people don't come along and help themselves to my engine lol!

Chain and lock would do the job just wouldn't look to good!

AeroCatch might do the job you're after. The cost a few notes, but look good when in place, can be sprayed any colour and come with integrated locks.

I am considering a new bonnet i love the look of the Puma bonnets have to have a look around see if i can find one for good price.

I also have another small problem if anyone can help i have looked everywhere for the door rod shown in the picture any ideas as to where i may find one?

Thanks.

The Puma bonnet - you mean, the most nicked bonnet in the history of automotive engineering.

If you buy one from a bona fide source, it will be expensive. If you buy one 'off e-bay', it might cost a bit less - but you may well find yourself handling what might technically be defined as 'stolen goods'........and it'll probably be nicked off your 90 the day after you fit it. :D

If ya cant find one could ya not make one of them door rods out of a thin tent peg or summin similar? use the one ya got as a pattern and i reckon 10 mins and ya should be done :)
Please excuse my tightness
