Hi, can anyone help me with this one, I kee getting bonnet open message on dash, I've checked the actual bonnet and it seems to be shutting one side better than the other,when you look at where the springs sit there seems to be one side diffrent to the other do you think this could be it, or is it likely to be a fuse etc? Cheers!

Sit the missus on the side that you suspect is faulty. If the fault hasn't re-appeared after a few trips round the block I'd think that you're on the right lines.

Could be faulty switch

Switch is on O/S catch, if it's that side that is not shutting adjust it to shut properly and activate switch.

I had this and found that a slight adjustment to the strike plate fixed it. It is just a couple of screws. Loosen them slightly and adjust the plate. This then makes a better contact for the switch.

hi mine did this, it was the passenger side catch - look down the hole and if its just a circle (no catch visible) fiddle with the catch/cable underneath it (about 2 oclock on mine i think) and the little catch will flick out - i just oiled it after it did it twice and its fine now

I like the idea of putting the missus on and trying it round the blockry but I dont think she'll fall for that one unfortunately, but thanks for all the other tips. I'll try them one by one and see what happens!

Well the part that protrudes into the hole is broken it looks like the catch has snapped, if I get a new catch how do I go about changing it? After unbolting it I was trying to manipulate it through the hole but I cant see how you get the wires and cable off, any advice please?
