So had the 3 amigos pop up again recently. The code was for the shuttle valve switch so option b was in order. A new wabco switch was ordered which I modified ready for the swap.

Old stock switch with the new option b modified switch.

There has been more progress on my ace as well. I've removed the backend of the LPG install to gain access to the ace valve block so I can complete the conversion. I will also paint the chassis and fit rock sliders while the tanks are out of the way. I've got 2 new tanks, pipes, fittings etc to go back on. As you can see the old tanks are a bit rusty! I had a measure up of the new ace lines so can now get these made up.

Hi guys, got another nice update here. Been working on my ACE now my LPG is out of the way. I've worked out the hose lengths and almost finished making these up. Just dropping them off tomorrow to be crimped and the 2x 14mm banjos fitted. Then on Saturday I'm doing the full ACE conversion. I've also made up a few mounts for the hoses in stainless and have got many more of the black mounts with stainless hardware. I've purchased a new genuine from Land Rover high pressure ACE hose from the pump which my new line will connect to. For my replacement hoses I've chosen a very special hose which has no rubber or metal so will last forever, it's smooth gloss black so will be easy to clean also.

The mounts are made from stainless and have rubber washers to reduce vibration.

The hoses are...

Rear top port of block to rear banjo on the rear ram, end to end length is 1688mm (14mm banjo one end to 3/8 female swivel on the other)
Rear bottom port of block to front banjo on rear ram, end to end length is 1729mm (14mm banjo one end to 3/8 female swivel on the other)
Front top port of block to front banjo on front ram, end to end length is 1932mm (14mm banjo one end to 3/8 female swivel on the other)
2nd down port on front of block to rear banjo of front ram, end to end length is 1862mm (14mm banjo one end to 3/8 female swivel on the other)
3rd down port on front of block to reservoir (joining onto original good 3/8 steel tube), end to end length is 2488mm (3/8 female swivel one end to 3/8 compression fitting on the other)
Bottom front port of block to pump (joining onto original good 10mm steel tube), end to end length length is 1850mm (3/8 female swivel one end to 10mm compression fitting on the other)

The hoses and all fittings are 3/8" apart from the single compression fitting that joins to the new genuine high pressure line from the pump, this is now a 10mm steel tube unlike the original 3/8" tube.
By end to end I mean the total length tip to tip of the hose including the fittings. This is not the centres.

Made a very nice purchase recently!!! +2" Fox 2.0 shocks with a pair of shaft guards for the rears. More goodies will accompany these shortly.

Been looking at the Ashcroft's ratio calculator. Not fitted my tyres yet but think I'll need to change the transfer box ratio.

Stock 29" tyres and 1.2 transfer box...

I'm thinking the 1.4 will probably be the best. What do you guys think?

Few more bits have arrived. Goodridge extended brake lines, Ratel-x shock turrets, cross member spacers, 2" air bag spacers and front and rear diff guards. Also picked up some new rubber turret retaining rings and meyle HD extended drop links.

More shiney! Out with the old rusty cracked spare wheel carrier and in with the new HD Ratel-X spare wheel carrier with new upgraded bolts etc. Also removed the rust stains and polished the rear door.

Fitted one new tyre to the spare so I can test fit it to the truck to see if I can get away with fitting them for road use before the suspension goes on.

Got my ace conversion 99% complete just after Christmas. All working perfectly, silent and no vibrations. The last thing I need to do is adjust some of the mounting/positioning of the mounts etc and check for rubbing at full extreme articulation. Done 200+ miles so far with no issues. I'll post some photos once it's complete etc but here's a couple of the turret mount I made out of stainless.

Got a puncture in my rear tyre last week but have sold my spare! So I popped up my mates garage and fixed the puncture (luckily it was right in the middle). So while the wheel was off I thought it would be rude if I didn't test fit my spare with my new larger tyre size! Still stock suspension etc so no idea what was going to happen. Rear first, looks great, good clearance and I think I could fit the rears with standard suspension with no rubbing etc. Photos of the rear were taken with my wide angle lens so its a bit out of shape etc.

The front is a bit tighter!! Also rubs in a couple of places but only just. The front arch liner when on lock and the edge of the mud flap when turning. Very close to the bumper also but does clear. Love the look the new aggressive tyres give, can't wait to get all my bits on. The side steps will be coming off and some rock sliders will take their place which will eliminate that rub so just leaves the arch liner. Not sure about that yet. Maybe fabricate a new one or heat and change the same of the current one. Not sure yet. Good news is they clear the radius arms so I won't have to reduce my steering range.

While underneath the other day I noticed the rear diff seal slightly leaking so I've ordered a new one and will fit next Saturday.

Also go a couple bits back from the powder coaters. Restored a set of front spring mounts and got my Ratel X crossmember spacers done as well because why not :lol1:
