Anyone fancy saving me a bit of time... Need to know what the bolts are that attach the VCU mounts to the body - need to get some ordered for the weekend so I can refit the VCU and props (new VCU, mounts and UJs) but forgot to measure the bolt so I could order them! had to cut and grind one of them to get the VCU off - so might as well stick 4 new ones on.

Ta very muchly :)

They're 10mm headed flange bolts, which have a 8mm X 25mm thread IIRC. Torque setting is 28Nm, again IIRC.

Horrible things. Mine had to be extracted with Irwin grip sockets. They got their nasty little rounded heads ground circular and proper-sized 13mm nuts welded on top.

Interestingly I've never had them seize up. I've only ever known them to come out easily, as long as a 6 sided socket is used. They're supposed to be torqued to 28Nm, so shouldn't be difficult to remove. These flange bolts are used on all modern vehicles now, as it make production line assembly faster.

yeah, have ordered a stud extractor to see if I can get this remaining bit out. Like the look of those irwin sockets though - might have to get a set ordered.
