Hi does anyone know part numbers or suggest suitable replacement body mount bolts. All I keep finding are ones for Discovery 1 wich are 3/8th by 3.5". Are these the same as paddocks etc list them for range rover & discovery 1 ? I broke 3 of 4 when removing the hex shaped adaptors for the side steps I removed.
 

This is what I had found on several searches, wich list ANR4519 for range rover & Discovery 1. I am sure they would fit, as they seem to be about the right length. Unfortunately the one bolt that remained intact that I could measure, was a rear one by passenger door. The only way to remove looks like I will have to undo all body mount bolts to jack the body up & remove.

Brilliant ! KYG101190 M10X92 flange head bolt looks exactly what I need. Clicking on the other parts and getting the drop down menu, I could not find the ANR5258 bolt only the ANR5258. Was that just a slip of the finger on the keyboard ? Anyway I need x4 of the bolts to go through the body mounts outriggers front and rear.

Why do you need to lift the body? To remove broken bolts in the middle? You should be able to access all of those ones from inside the cabin, if I understand you correctly.

The front ones are accessable through the front floor footwell. The other ones don`t seem to be that are located by rear passenger footwell, unless I missed them ? It does seem strange if there is no access to the back ones, when there is to the front. Also why did Land rover make a perfect v shaped trap for mud/dirt between the rear seat body & the wheel arch ? Surely it would of made sence to move this rearwards & allow easier access to the bolts.

The rear bolts can be accessed from under the carpet under the front seats.
They are all accessible from inside the cabin or front wheel arches and front bumper, if you ever need to lift the body.

You may need to cut a neat slot in the carpet for access. I ripped my carpet but I was scrapping the vehicle so I didn't care about it. You may find access a bit tight otherwise. IIRC, further back under the rear seats there is a pre-made cut.

Except the ones for the rear outrigger - which I fear is the one the OP is on about

I ended up grinding the bolt off until it was short enough to come out of the space between outrigger and body - and then put the new one on the other way up - with the nut in the space

That is the one. It is level with where the rear door closes. I was thinking of putting it in upside too, or cutting an access channel & welding it back up again. I just don`t see why they did not make access to it easy when there is the room to do so. I don`t really want to cut it though and was unsure wether putting the bolt in upside down would cause any issues ? I was just thinking it has to be done the hard way by lifting the body.

I think that they did this because you can put a small bolt in from above when you are using the hexagonal extension for the step - and they either didn't realise or (more likely) care that it would be impossible to undo 15 years later!! I have both rear outrigger bolts reversed and they have caused no problems so far, and the mot tester had no issues with them either.
