I did a 2" body lift on my old d2 to clear the 35s (it already had a 2" suspension lift). Any more than 2" and you'll be needing brake and clutch lines and you'll need to somehow extend the fuel filler pipe.

You'll need to make new brackets to raise your bumpers too.

Are you increasing spring heights/shocks to lift it? If not, I'd say do that first. But if you want more ground clearance first of all get bigger tyres as neither body lift nor springs will increase the distance between ground and axles. If you want extreme clearance get portal axles...I've seen it done on a D2, but its not cheap!

Hi, i have a 2" body lift and 2-3 " suspention lift & retained the Air bags & ACE, i went 33" cooper sst, 36" seems a bit OTT unless its for only offroad any bigger than 33 and there are a lot of modifications & problems you will encounter to get the vehicle function correctly and safely.

You'll need to the cut the arches as well. You've got a lot of reading to do before buying anything just yet.

35's are doable easy enough with the right combo

right im thinking against the 36s now shame and gonna go for a 2" sus lift n for some reason ACE has been removed well the pump and some pipe work no idea why
