Can't believe I have been on here a few months and haven't mentioned this....

If you join the volkszone forum, BOC do a substantial discount for members.

I have big Y size cylinder of Argoshield light. 2 years on and it still has plenty in it. The smaller bottles empty real quick.

Can't remember exact cost. Need to check my account. But I can tell you its a big saving. And makes it on par with the other methods of getting cylinder gas. + the Argoshield light is really good stuff indeed. Far better than straight CO2.

And just nipping down to BOC depot is really handy, especially as they stock plenty of consumables and some are cheap enough.

And its all DD from bank account which is handy.

Anyhow...check it out.

i'm pretty happy with hobbyweld. no dd, go and get a refill when you want and they do a range of gas.

I almost went with BOC offer but as I weld so little even the small monthly charge would annoy me!!! If you are welding regularly it looks a good deal. Went Hobbyweld in the end as stockist is nearer and have been very helpful when I needed advice. BOC here is a stockists and you have to pay a handling charge to them to the volks deal which was only mentioned when I went down to collect a bottle!!

hate boc, Ive paid monthly for 23 years , this christmas they decided to take yearly rental out in one go for my bottles(ive got a few!) wipped me out and canceled christmas for me

I have a large bottle from the now defunct Partco in Berwick. When it runs out I will need another one. Where is Hobbyweld Trax?
