picked up some +2" pro-comp dampers today and bearmach springs...happy days..

Ahh bummer with the snow stopping work!
Is the body shell all the ally welding that's required?

the only ally welding thats required are the rear quarters as in from the roof gutters down. the roof, boot floor and inner quarters are all steel and can be miged, you can mig ally but have yet to see it work well imo

, the hardest part for me when we did my brothers was sorting the fuel tank as it needed to stay underneath as he still needed some sort of boot space for the dog!
On the whole I reckon it could be done and dusted within a week depending on the level of finish required

Very interesting read! Do most people just weld some plate over the back window sections or mock up some sort of window? And as for the fuel tank is that pretty much a home build?
mine has a series fooltank and a sunroof as a rear window.

Im also using a series tank and the windows are just steel sheet
it does in mine - but mine is a truck cab.....

mine isnt a bobtail, its a trayback but it sits where the boot was above the chassis rais

the rear seats in mine were shot and well past their use by date, so for that reason they are staying out, and i can still get my lads pit bikes in the back...the fuel tank is home built, just needs welding, and then it will go behind the drivers seat, and filler where the passenger door window should be...

the roof is also welded now...
and patches on the inside from the window to the wheel arch...
jobs for tomorrow are, finish the welding, sand and prime the rear bumper and get the rear suspension back into its freshly painted wheel arch...
