The breather has been in now for about 3years so I'm thinking it is due for a clean. I know it is plastic but what would be the best stuff to clean it with. Wd40, or hot soapy water ? Or something else. Ta.

rekon my choice would be white-spirit .. or maybe "gunk"

aim to clean mine soon ..
'n i'll be using one of those as they're about the house anyway ..

must admit when i pulled mine out after it being installed for over 2 years just needed a quick clean and wipe over, was very suprised in how clean it was

just opened up to clean all it wanted was a wipe perfect condition after 12500klm

Same here after 3 years , used white spirit to clean the oil separator and the top section of the pcv , no gunk found was pretty clear !
