My exhaust is blowing in the area of the Cats and I'll need to replace them I think.

Having a look around 't web I've found these and these on eBay that are much cheaper than the usual suspects. I'm not keen on fitting the cheapest usually, but work is a bit scarce at the moment, and so cheap it has to be....... so long as they actually fit and work.

Does anyone have any experience of BM Catalysts? Googling them suggests reasonable quality, albeit with rough looking welds sometimes. I don't go under the cat much to look at the welding on the exhaust TBH so I'm fine with that.

Anyone got any recommendations for replacement catalysts?

P38 V8 4.6 GEMS.

They seem well enough made, fitted one to a mates car with no issues.

Second hand info, but a friend fitted two of these. Quality is ok, passed emmisions, just a bit of fettling as the pipes were slightly different size but not much.

Are they certified or verified?
Can't remember the term they use.
There two types, certified and non certified... Have I got this right..
EU CE marked = certificate of conformity. Actually means nothing as anyone can E mark just about anything.

Hmm CE Chinese export only joking but you never know.
Not much difference, I used to manufacture micro controllers, all I had to do to legally CE mark them was to create a file describing the function and steps taken to ensure safety and RF interference compliance. No checks are made unless and until something goes wrong causing injury for example. It's a joke, now the UK is leaving the EU I hope they bring back the BSI kite mark and the British standards institution.

So I've fitted my BM CATS. They seem very well made, fitted no problem without me having to do any fettling, so I call that a success!

One small drawback was that the gaskets that came with the fitting kit they include came with only 8mm holes for the exhaust manifold flange studs, and they're 10mm on a P38. Luckily I has a spare pair in the garage.

Very happy with them, and for the price (£116 delivered) I don't think you can beat them!
