Hi guys
May I ask a question on behalf of a friend that is doing a re-paint on a 1974 88in. & would like to stick with a colour that is correct to that model year.
Was there any other shade of blue used for that year, apart Marine Blue ?
Many thanks for reading.

As far as I know, there were only 3 colours at that time, Bronze Green, Limestone, and Marine Blue.

What was the original colour of the Land Rover in question , and why not repaint it that colour ?

Standard Series 3 blue was marine blue, The Coastguard and Royal Navy were painted Dark Oxford Blue (IIRC) but these were very small number in comparison.

Many thanks to you all for the replies, Marine Blue it will be.
I thought as much as I'd owned a '73 S3 109 decades ago in that colour, but my friend did ask the question & I wanted to give him sound advice.

Stay safe all.
