Car is a '93 LSE hard dash.

When I got the car the blowers worked on all speed settings, however were only blowing cold due to a blocked radiator. They then blew hot once the new radiator was fitted.

Then one day they simply stopped working completely. Blowers work fine when air con is selected however.

I've spent some time searching and it seems the likely cause may be a resistor, but can anyone direct me to where I might find this, and how I diagnose if it is faulty?

Cheers,

Brian.

Be carfull assuming the heater blower is working at all..

There are in fact 3 blower motors on the late hard dash, 2 of them only come on with the AC, the third is for the heater. If the blowers only work with the AC in the chances are the the heater blower is dead. If the resistor has failed you would still get full speed with the AC off. If you only get full speed with teh AC on its only the 2 AC blowers working.

Bad news is the blower on the later classics is burried inside the heater box, and it's a PITA with added red hot poker to get it out with the AC in place. This is why I am changing mine for an earlyer metal heater box, where the motor is on the side (this is the second one I have had fail)
