Trainee maniac
Off to the local dump I was - heavy drizzle. Halfway there both my wipers on my series 3 decided that they'd be happier leaving, and so did.
Surely there must be a fix for these useless splined boss/cheapo wiper arms.....

I used to cable the my rangie wipers on. Correct blades and arm assembly correctly fitted but never stayed put. Black cable tie round it sorted that.

I had to do that this week, got new blades and managed to break one of the connection fixings on the D2, glued it back together and cable tied for security, lasted 400 miles , so not bad. Got a new fitting for £4 on the bay, jobs a good un.

Cheers

The whole mechanism is from the arc.Managed to pass MOT on Thursday but a big curved ball on the windscreen wash. Had to pressure blast minute crud out below the windscreen jets and back wash the jets. Here's me worried about the brakes which were okay..

I'm pondering replacing the whole bloody issue with something properly industrial. It's identical to the one on my old Triumph Vitesse that I had to replace.... it's a dumb design for longevity.
