Going absolutely potty now. :rolleyes:

Range rover p38 suspension started being a little slow to pump up and kept dropping over night or when parked, so i changed the pump for a recon one from ebay, but kept throwing up a thermal cut out fault EAS fault. so replaced the seal and cylinder on the old one and replaced it.
When it went completely down on the dumps it recorded a fault with RHR signal incorrect and LHF singnal incorrect. So on the advice of the guy that supplied the pump i changed the height sensor because he said they where faulty.
I fitted one of those manual inflation devices from tawpark and pumped the suspension up the front stayed up but both rear bags dropped very quickly, ie you could see it as soon as the air line was taken away.
now the pump is running constantly and no air is being sent to the bags because i think the tank has no air in it.
my centre exhaust had a hole in it that was blowing up to the LHR wheel arch. I read on here that it could be that the exhaust leak has melted the airline and this would certainly point to my problem as the air line run over that area for the tank and rear air bags.

The problem i have is the garage just laught when i told this??? am i correct in thinking that repalcing the 3 airline to the rear airbags and tank will sort the problem, or could it be something else that is causing this???

the pumps pumping air, not exhuaust leak from the block.

So either rear airbags are shot or you have a pipe melted or possible valve block fault.
What are air bags like
 
Both air bags look good, no cracking. think they were done it the last 2 years.
both go down at the same rate....quickly.

As you can manually inflate them, listen for a leak or use soapy water.

I'd be tempted to trace airlines from rear

Hiya babe, You must have a leak from airlines/bags. It is highly unlikely to be an internal leak on valve block. That would need two valves plus the exhaust valve to be leaking. If when the bags are blown up and start to deflate there is no air coming from exhaust then it is not the valve block. I would check the lines from block to bags first job. Also make sure your pump is actually making good air. A constant leak like that will screw it big style. Also sounds like the pump you bought maybe a little dicky. Try putting one of your front emergency inflation valves onto the tank filling pipe the one coded violet. Put some air in the tank and see if pump stops, you can get this sort of pressure from one of those cheap little emergancy tyre inflators that plug into the lighter socket. You may not get it from a forcourt tyre monitor. If anyone has the emergancy valves fitted i would recommend getting one of the cheap little pumps so they don't need to visit a garage to top up.

I used the forecourt air line to pump the air bags up and kinda broke it...ooops!:D

I'll go and do as you suggest thanks and report back.

As Wammers has said, there is definately a leak. If the exhaust has been blowing, then that is where I would start with a close examination of the air line. The EAS will try to keep the car level side to side so even if only one side is leaking, both sides will drop and also to a lesser extent the front.
The pump will overheat and cut out out if it is trying to keep pace with a major leak.
 
ok so i've taken the air line of the block, the purple marker one on no9, pump is running no air coming from the hole on the block but air coming back from the air line???? pump is pumping air from the hole on the compressor??? is there a valve that stops the air coming out the block when there is no air line attached??

No, but maybe you have the wrong pipe.
 
is there only one air line in to the air tank....???
No there are two the violet pipe from the valve block which feeds air either way as required and the 4mm pipe that feeds the diaphragm solenoid valve. This should be open when pump is running to apply pressure from tank to back of diaphragm valve to seal exhaust.

so if i take off the violet pipe should air be coming out the hole in the block??? :doh: i'm trying to find out if the air is suppling the tank
