Hi Guys,

I appear to be in a bit of a hole here. My P38's been at a local garage for over a month now with an EAS fault. Anyway, to cut a long story short it's now sitting outside still with it's EAS fault.

When I turn on the ignition I get the "Max 35 ..." message, using the EAS software I can connect to the car and in return I get a "Good Idle". However, when I ask it to read the faults none are reported! I know the software is connected to the car because I can turn the Pump On and Off.

Resetting the EAS results in an immediate return of the fault. I know the garage dumped the air from the tank but other than that I don't know what else was done.

Anyone got any ideas?

P.S. I had a new compressor fitted about 3 months ago.

Max 35 .... is that not the offroad warning? It may not be throwing a fault because it does not see its condition as a fault at all. It just thinks it is at the offroad height.

Now, I know NOTHING about EAS, but I think I can identify some little tie rods on the underside connected to a module that has a multiplug on it. Does all that look healthy on all four corners? I am just suggesting it might be a mechanical or electrical fault on a sensor rather than the actual pressure system.

Nige.

Thanks for the reply Nigel, but I forgot to say I'd got it fixed. I was so happy with myself that I went out for a drive and I've not that long returned.

Well I hope this does : Using the Calibrate Tab I read all heights, and noticed that some of them were +- on each side. I adjusted the values and re-wrote them back to the EAS ECU, Unlocked, Stopped, Disconnected and et voila. Sorted.

What I did notice though is that the errors displayed in this thread http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f10/eas-battery-fault-104613.html are caused by reading the faults when the software's lost synch with the car. The errors here are a dump of what's in the program and are of course meaningless in this context.
