My Land Rover badged battery seems to have given up the ghost after a 3-4 day spell of very cold weather/wind.
It's an 05 plate TD4.
Got in this morning and had a fantastic array of flashing dash lights when turning the ignition on.
Got the Fluke out quickly and it registered just 8.64v !!!!!
My "intelligent" (multistage) battery charger wouldn't even try and charge it, going into "fault" condition when trying.
So, I used an ordinary charger to get the voltage up to about 12v and then put the intelligent one back in. Will leave it all night, at least.
Her indoors is not best pleased as our Valentines "eat all you can Indian Curry" for tonight will be attended in biker gear !
You've got to laugh.....
(By the way, have been quoted £72.32 including VAT from Pro Parts in Waterlooville. 2 year guarantee Pldham badged. I've used them many times in the past with no probs).
