hi guys trying to fit bench seats to my defender 90 1992, the bench brackets wont go in the tub side hole as the bench rest up against the vertical bar on the side as i have no windows fitted so do you think i need to remove the bars,is that clear or have i confused you lot to:confused:

The brackets should have a set in them to allow them to go into the holes.
 
just feels like iv been outside for ever and aint got nothing done. the brackets do go in if there not tightened up properly but the back of the bench is on the vertical bar so i think that needs to be removed so it sits back properly, any one else removed theres?

Just bolt the seat through the rear wheel arches.
 
yeah may do that but there the folding ones and there aint much of a base bracket, ill have a proper go again sat, its all fun
 
They do go but its a bit fiddly, it helps if you loosen the brackets first but it ensures its nice and snug when its all bolted in
