i noticed on the plain last week that the air scoop on the passeger wing top was bellowing out steam.

and when you put the fan blower on the windscreen instantly misted up

the heater is also barely warm

so is there some sort of drain pipe or plug in the air scoop,or is it directly linked to the heater matrix box and could be full of water in there?

It might be worth checking that you are not losing coolant as a leaking heater matrix could give similar symptoms. Does the steam smell sweet like antifreeze?

Steve

it's a rubber teat, under the air intake, inside the engine bay.
What Trewy says. You can reach it with your pinkeys and give it a massage. I flushed mine with a watering can whilst squeezing the teat until it ran clear. No more misting problems until it blocks again.

Had the same problem when I picked mine up a year or so ago - not being able to see doing 60mph on the M62 was a little scarey!!! I've just taken the plug out completely - is there a good reason for leaving the plug in place??
