Hi All
Just took out my oil dipstick to check for oil level and when I went to place it back in the damn thing will go in no more than half way. It would appear that the glass bulb on the end of the dipstick has come off and is now lodged at some funny angle therby not permitting the dipstick to go fully home.
Any suggestions on how to dislodge and has this happened to anyone else.?Will the glass bulb do any damage if it falls into the oil sump?

remove the dipstick tube and get a rod, poke the rod down the tube to remove this bulb thing you speak of, refit the tube and hey presto ;)

yella fella.jpg heres a pic of a dip stick sorry yella mate some one had to do it

Thanks guys, I didnt know you could remove the dipstick tube. As for the pics of dipstick I have the older freelander with a different dipstick.
And as for the other pic I think we truely have a dipstick of greatness.
