dunt matter, well, erm kinda dunt depends,

does the blend motor move when you press the hi low buttons or does it take a while like on fan to get going?

hmm if its like my heatpump in my house it delays before change lol.might be heater delay relays or something like that.but hay just guessing:)none in my classics but think similar to my bema takes abit to move when change heating settings.and the same in my fathers old hse wasnt instant,but i could be way out and dont understand question. :doh:

I would guess that it will take a time to move while the HEVAC ECU decides how far to move the blend motor to attain the required temperature, it will have to read the cabin temp sensor at the very least then compute the required setting. It not just an open/shut jobbie:D:D:D
 
got a set of blends on, all working, goes from hot to cold but, when i did the one for the top middle or bottom positions the cam that the motor sits on came out and i dont know how to set all the cams and gears up before putting motor back on!!!

i'm a bit ****ed off cos when i put em in hevac unit the book went off and thort i was on a winner, then, took old uns off and it all went horribly wrong!!!
 
Ouch thats not good, for me the only way would be to find another unit to copy. sorry thats no help

Open the case, remove the gears and turn the potentiometer fully anti clockwise. Refit the gears, aligning the arrow marks. Test the operation of the motor in both directions following the instructions I sent to you. If you are still up sh*t creek, PMme your address and I will post a spare motor over to you if you wish..will take about 3 days to get to you.
 
i now have 5 motors, not too worried about them, its the gears on the heater box where the distribution motor goes. the all came off, just had a word with john and he says to point all air at window and refit the gear/cam that the distro motor attaches to, which is kinda what i was thinking of doing,

in simples terms, if you remove the cogs from the heater box where distro motor sits how do you re align em so it all works properly?
 
With the blend motor removed, move the flap gear fully anti clockwise.
Connect the blend motor to a 12v supply and run the motor fully anti clockwise until it stops. Then briefly run the motor clockwise, which means that there is a small amount of "Leeway" present. Obviously there is more available range of travel with the motor than flap travel and you need the flap to dictate the open and closed position to the potentiometer, rather than running the motor and relying on the physical stop on the potentiometer as a dead stop..this will put strain on the potentiometer and in time cause it to fail. These positions will be taught to the motor via the HEVAC during the calibration process by Rovacom, Autologic or Test Book. When the open and closed positions are learnt, the intermediate positions are automatcally calculated by the HEVAC
