Symptom - HEVAC....passenger side stuck on cold, driverside stuck on blowtorch.
Problem - both blend motors tested and failed. Mighty fine flaps tho.
Big problem - removing blend motors
Solution - saw, drill, sheet metal cutters, sweat and swearing for 15mins.
Result - now skint, wife moaning about her vacuum cleaner hose, car working fine and no future stress gettinG to core o rings, blend motors or sensor and probably more heat to the rear.

Yup...all finished. I often drive around with my instrument panel on the passenger seat....
And without the restriction as in the original ducting, as it passes the blend motors, my rear drivers side vent now blows a hell of a lot better compared to the passenger side.

You replaced the original ducting with your wife's vacuum cleaner hose?

It's not how much hose is left on the vacuum cleaner, it's how you use it....

orrible engineering, pah, what I used was better than what land rover could find to link in the driver's knee warmer.

I have seen some abortions perpetrated by people on here, but that takes the biscuit by a very long way.

So not one for the 'technical archive' then? :):)

Don't know who vets those but some of the stuff on there is a little iffy. But definitely that one is total rubbish. You need to be a brave man to associate yourself with that one. An utter abortion. ;):D

O.k. In the name of entertainment I will bite. (rolling eyes)
Wammers, What's iffy about a heat resistant, flexible but secured pipe used in this way, that actually increases airflow.
And, Its not rubbish, it's just dusty with some bellybutton fluff in it.
