I'm darned if I can find the valeo part number, I have it somewhere, I'll keep looking.
There are at least 2 different versions of the HEVAC, early one's controlled the aircon compressor direct, later ones via a relay, fit an early one to a late car and it will show the book as the current drawn by the relay is insufficient to tell the ECU that the compressor is working. Fit a late one to an early car and it may fry the compressor drive circuit.

The one i fitted has number JFC 102550 - the faulty one JFC 101890
Looking it up it seems to be the same number for 1994-2002, God knows whats wrong & right here:)
Works okay so far £40 on the fleay (auction - was lucky it ended silly time and that it works)
 
Think I have just ruled out the nanocom, thank god. Just had it connected to my mates hevac ecu to read his faults. His right hand blend motor was the only thing that worked, forced ok.

Come on blend motors land on my door step.

Yes it did, plug the early one into a late vehicle and you'll damage it apparently by blowing a transister. Plug the late one into an early vehicle and it won't work right (or is it the other way round?). It's something to do with switching something directly in the early version and using a relay with the later version, which is also why the main fusebox changes. IIRC I seem to recall there were actually 3 different part numbers........

Spliced in a new blend motor today which seems to have sorted the fault. Can force it any which way with the nanocom.

Just got to refill air con and see if the clutch fault goes. Fingers crossed.
