Hi there Im mark from Blackpool, just got myself a 1983 Landrover series 3

Ive never had one before and don't have much of a clue of where to start when it comes to working on them, but ive joined here to learn and going to join my local Landy club,

today ive just coated my leaf springs in old oil as the old boy across the road suggested.

so if any one from Blackpool and to meet up and offer some help and advice that would be fab, also im looking for the foxing to put the wheel on the bonnet

cheers

mark

a friend of mine is going to get it up on this ramp and steam clean it all then spray wax oil on it, just waiting for him to get his old Jag off the ramp, cant wait to get her a bit more tidy thinking of a re-spray next year

I think there is a law against them looking clean and not leaking oil. If it stops leaking oil onto your driveway it means its run out of oil.;)

your not the first to say that, the mrs isnt to happy about the few drops of oil on the drive way and the fact the heater is broken in the old girl but when her mini got stuck Big smile on my face i came to the rescue, just not seen many series landrovers near me, just posh mums in rangerover sports

Old bit of carpet under the landy will soak it up.;)

looks tidy... that soft top will be nice in the summer... enjoy

I've got a fixing on my 90 bonnet, you can have that if you want it

Dam thing smashed my window a few month back

Thanks mate would love that bonnet fixing,

will you e-mail me your number and I will arrange to come and fix it up, also if there is a few of us together in Blackpool maybe we could get together and have a winter drive out

Made me chuckle that mate, think i'll give the Fabswingers a miss and not sure the Mrs will be into that, took me a while to talk her into getting a Landy..but I'm sure its something I can work on.
