I'm not sure if you have manual or auto (can't remember reading it mentioned), if you force the vehicle to stay in a low gear (first or second) and give it the beans does it still blow smoke?

On older dervs a bit of smoke was to be expected, especially when the turbo comes on song. Usually it is just unspent fuel. Can you recreate the smoke plumage if for example you're in a gentle cruse at 30 drop a cog or two and nail it? If so does it continue for long after you get off the throttle or stop almost immediately? It should blow clear in about 1-2 seconds after you release the throttle.

its a manual gearbox only happens in 3rd its just when i gun it to get up to speed on dual carageways 1st and second fine

a quick question short burst in first short burst in second then third take the the revs higher by any chance some people rev car harder when they get to third. Then when you come out of third slow down going in to fourth. ???
