Gtechniq C4 is the best stuff I've ever used for this. It's expensive but goes a long way. You need a bottle and a half roughly for a Mini so I'd guess about the same for a Freelander.

This pic obviously was taken during application so you can see the difference.

This picture was taken 13 months later when I put it up for sale and I hadn't reapplied anything to it, just wash as per the rest of the car.

The GTECHNIQ C4 Permanent Trim Restorer looks excellent!
I used an entire bottle on the FL2. It's should last ages though so, decent value....?
I used the GTECHNIQ Citrus All Purpose Cleaner to clean the trim before hand, also a fantastic product 👌
Also: I tried some boiled linseed oil on my girlfriend's car trim. It's very 'wet look'.... I'm also worried it might run and look awful when I wash it. Glad I tested on her car first 😂

Vaseline (petroleum jelly) Google recommended it.

I wandered through my local pound shop few weeks ago and saw a tub of it for...£1. Thought it was worth a go for such small outlay and yes it works very well. It dont last for ever (few washes) but for a quick detail it'll do.
