Hi all. Is it normal for my 300TDI 90 to be sluggish when she is cold?? Its not bad really but there is a definate difference when the engine is cold and comes back to full power within a few minutes of running. It just means that I got to hold a gear for longer as it is very slow to pick up otherwise. Is this normal and me worrying over nothing or is there a few things I could check that could be causing it??

Many thanks

Adam

of course its normal engine is onl in runing tolerance when at temperature ,diesel is ingnited by heat through compression and engine temperature

it's not a petrol motor. You got to let a diesel warm up 3-4 minutes before you go

Thanks all. This is my first doozel motor so it is all new to me. As long as it is normal then thats fine with me:crazy_driver:

And when you start on a real cold morning below freezing, they really hammer sound like they is coming apart. But that is just a diesel. What ever you do,do not use ether on them to start you will burn out your glow plugs:eek::doh:
