Ok i am in a bit of strife at the moment ive just recond the starter motor with new brushes and bushes and the landie starts up and runs fine so i went to test run it and ive found that ive got no clutch so i went to bleed it up cause its a hydraulic clutch and found that there was no fluid getting to the bleed nipple so ive pulled apart the clutch reservoir to find that the spring that operates the piston inside the cylinder was snapped so i bout a hole new clutch cylinder and put that in and bled the clutch up as best as i could but now all ive got is a light foot half way down then it goes hard but as soon as you put your foot on the clutch it makes this clutch slipping sound or a grinding sound and you still cant get it into gear if you try it will just grind them. I have no idea at all at the moment what it could be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.:)

can yer write that agin in wurds we can understand. like whats this piston operating spring? and what does "bout a hole" mean and this"but now all ive got is a light foot half way down then it goes hard but as soon as you put your foot on the clutch it makes this clutch slipping sound or a grinding sound "
what makes a clutch slipping noise? yer foot?

take a deep breath and start again... you've renewed yer master cylinder and you have a hard pedal. is this correct?

also, you can't select any gears?

oh and some spaces and puncyeration makes things easier to read

The pedals fine now feels like a proper clutch now just adjusted it properly. So its not the clutch master cylinder. My pop has come around just today and he has had a look at it and he has diagnosed it to the thrust bearing. So im going to pull it apart tmorrow and i might get a hole new clutch kit.
