Not to bad so looked underneath and see it needs a couple of body mounts. I got the drivers side front done this weekend as follows

Started with this

Doesnt look to bad!!! I then surported the body and removed the body mount. I then started to poke around with a hammer and screw driver and found lots of soft and weak metal. Anway i cut away the weak metal and was left with

I then made up some plates using carboard and guess work!

Grind back the metal to give you clean area to weld to which is really not easy as there is no room for a grinder! Then weld in the plates in then undersill.

I then thought it would be a good idea to see what was under the plates in the boot!!!!

I discovered lots of rust so thought I would cut out the boot, must of had my brave pills!!

I then offered up the replacement panel just to get an idea of what work i have left.

Ill be fitting my new lift kit tomorrow!

Thanks it's not my neatest work but its only for off roading.

Well i went and treated my self to 2" lift springs, 5" shocks, Shock mounting brakets for the rear as im running front shocks all round, Dislocation cones, extended bump stop's and extended brake lines. Was too excited to take any pictures of the bits in the box but got straight on to getting it all fitted!

That's made a huge difference!

Do your brackets change the position of the shock or just make it a pin type fixing?

Yeah i knew it was a half decent disco underneath, well i hoped it was lol

And i think they just change it to the pin type. They are 5" front shocks all round

Just thought I would put a couple of pics up of me trying my disco on a small bumb to see what the flex is like. I have also added wheel spacers and a snorkle.

nice work mate, inspring too. Ive been holding out taking the dashboard out (find a leak!!) seems a little job compared to this!!

Yeah 265 75 16's I think any bigger I would either have to go higher or cut more away to get decent clearance. Ill wait till I have broken/damaged it before I get bigger tyres! :)

Nice, seeing that dont think 265s will fit on mine at standard height ha , u think would fit with cut arches ?
