WOW !
well its only taken about 4 weeks but I got around to pulling the diff.

I had to take the gearing from the housing to get the broken half shaft out and i just wondering if i have re assembled it correctly ?

I wound the adjuster plates in as far as i could by hand then un-wound them back to the nearest slot for the hinged pin...

If any of that made seance and you think ive done it right (or wrong) can you let me know :)

thanks all

Andy

Well that's not the proper way, I have done it your way in the past and it worked fine. But have you put back adjuster plates in the position they were? because this affects the input gear/crown wheel fit and if not right it wont like it.

Well I doubt i have them back in the same place, but once i greased it all up I was surprised how smooth it all felt???? Hope that's a good sign...

If its wrong how will i know and what should i watch out for?

thanks Andy

To tight and it will overheat,to loose and there will be backlash [slack]in the gears leading to early failure.
