Hi,
BioTuning - Vegetable Oil Diesel Vehicle Conversions Parts, Kits and Information is where i bought most of the parts. I bought fuel & coolant lines from a local motorfactors.
B100 will go straight into your normal tank without any modification but its best to use 50% B100 50% Diesel during winter. The Freelander will run normal & you shouldn't notice any difference in performance. Here is a link to a good website with filling stations all over the uk
Biodiesel Outlets in the UK There are places doing it as cheap as 95p per litre but its sold as heating oil the only difference is its classification is the same as red diesel although there is no red dye in it.
The veg oil system heats up the oil before going into the engine. You have to install a switch over valve which selects between your OEM fuel tank & a new fuel tank. You can either use a small 10L or 20L tank in the boot which you use either diesel or B100 to start up. I have put a 95L tank in the boot which I use Veg Oil in & keep the OEM tank for diesel.
Once your Freelander is running at normal temperature i.e. your water temp guage is at 90o which usually takes about 5 mins in the morning, you switch over to veg oil. About 1 miles from the end of your journey you switch back to purge the system with diesel.
If you dont switch back to diesel which ive done a few times its hard to start again if left for a few hours. This also causes something called gumming where the veg oil sticks to the injectors & over time clogs them up. The good thing about the L-Series is that it has the old mechanical injectors which you can get cleaned for about £5 each.
You need to change the engine oil every 5000 which is a 5min job.
If you can get used veg oil from a local chippy for free then you will be running your landy for free. Here's how to filter it.

All in my kit cost £350. A worth while investment since im doing over 1000 miles per week with my new job.
It worth noting that since 2007 you are legaly allowed to use upto 2500L of alternative fuel without paying any duty on it. All you must do is log the date and ammount of fuel used. If you exceed 2500 you must register with HMRC & pay duty on everything. Veg oil is classed as a diesel alternative and will therefore attract the same duty as diesel if you use more than 2500 per year.
The message was a little bit longer than expected but i hope it answered your question. Cheers
