Hi guys,

I have a 98 P38 2.5 DSE and the lights behind the odometer on the centre binnacle have failed. Is there an easy way to exchange these without having to completely remove the binnacle i.e. can you remove the cover below the steering column and then reach up behind?? Just being lazy as don't fancy stripping it down.

No lazy method.....well, not one I have ever come across!!

Did mine about a year ago and wish I'd done it sooner. Doesn't take long.

Can be done without removing binnacle. But it may take a long time to train a spider to change bulbs.

on this subject, are there two bulbs behind the display in the binnacle as the right half on mine seems a fair bit brighter than the left?

Don't think so. I think you need at least 2. I think you can get a bespoke one for the HEVAC display.

Cannot remember if that covers the HEVAC as well. There was a good article on RR.net, IIRC.

Thanks for the replies guys but looks like I need to start training that spider Wammers or stop being so lazy!!!
